A regular contact between the compatriots abroad and the Swiss Embassy is useful for both sides. Also, registration is compulsory for Swiss citizens residing abroad and is the basis for official acts.

You should inform us about any chang of:

• address
• telephone numbers
• e-mail address

The Embassy will be in charge of informing the concerned authorities about the change of address.

Non-communication of change of address could signifiy that your registration with this Embassy will be cancelled.

Furthermore, in your own interest, you should inform the Embassy about any changes, such as

• Changes of civil status (marriage, divorce, death)
• Birth of children
• Acquisition or loss of a foreign nationality
• Departure from the consular district

Non-communication of the above changes could delay certain consular services (e.g. issuance of a Swiss passport) or even lead to the loss of the Swiss nationality (e.g. on registration of a birth of a child).

IMPORTANT NOTICE
All registered Swiss citizens are automatically included in the contingency plan of this Embassy. Make sure that you receive the relevant information when you register you and your family.
