Registration / Immatriculation
For Swiss citizens living abroad for more than 12 months at the time, it is mandatory to register with the competent Swiss Diplomatic or Consular Representation.
You may come to the Embassy on any working day between 10 a.m. and 12 noon or on appointment. You should take with you, your Swiss Passport and Identity Card (if any) as well as the Swiss Passports and Identity Cards of the members of your family. If you are in possession of your document of origine (Heimatschein / acte d'origine), please deposit it at the Embassy until your departure.
If you cannot come to the Embassy personally, you can download the form "Application for Registration with a Swiss Representation" (see right container) and bring or send the completed forms, together with the corresponding original Identity Card(s) or Passport(s), to the Embassy. Your documents will be returned to you as soon as possible.
Please make sure to indicate your exact address as well as your telephone, fax and mobile phone numbers and, if available, your e-mail address.
