Visa for people living in Sudan

Sudanese citizens who wish to travel to Switzerland must obtain a Schengen visa. Visa applications must be presented to the Swiss Embassy in Khartoum during the opening hours of the visa section. The application has to be presented at least 12 days in advance.

Opening hours for applications/collecting passports: Sunday-Thursday 10h00-12h00.

As an alternative to picking up the applications form at the Visa Section of the Embassy, you may download it (see link in right container). Visa forms must be filled out in either German, French, Italian or English.

Each application is checked individually and no guarantee can be given that a visa will be issued. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for costs involved when a visa is refused. Please note that in certain cases the application has to be submitted to the authorities in Switzerland. It may take 8 to 12 weeks until a decision is given to the Embassy. Please note that no deposit or money transfer is required - neither in Switzerland nor in Sudan- to obtain a visitor's visa. The visa fee of 60 Euro (payable in Sudanese Pounds) is the only amount to be paid when handing in the visa application at our visa counter.
