Indonesian nationals require a visa to enter Switzerland. Other nationals may contact the Embassy of Switzerland in Indonesia for further details. Any applicant must appear in person to submit a visa request.
Visa fee
IDR 720'000.00 must be paid in cash (no credit cards) when submitting the application.
Processing time
The processing time of the visa applications for short stays (tourists, visitors, business) can take up to 15 days. Some visitor visa applications may take several weeks to be processed if a declaration of guarantee is required. The processing time for long stay visas (employment, studies, residence) that require an authorization from the competent authorities in Switzerland is at least 2 - 3 months.
Schengen
Switzerland joined the Schengen visa scheme on 12 December 2008. Travellers holding valid Schengen visas may enter Switzerland.
