Please note that that the Honorary Consulate General of Switzerland in Osaka does not treat regular consular matters such as passport and visa applications. Kindly address all such queries to the Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo. However, the office will be able to accept registration documents for newly arrived Swiss citizens and life certificates for the AHV/AVS. As the Honorary Consulate General of Switzerland in Osaka (Office) does not have fixed operating hours, kindly contact the office in advance to fix an appointment.

From time to time a member of the consular staff of the Embassy will be present in the Osaka office. During these «consular windows», which will be announced on this website, we will gladly offer information and assistance to the Swiss citizens of the Region. However, since no official acts can be performed in Osaka, any documents which require processing will have to be brought back to Tokyo, meaning that it will take up to a week more to complete said procedures.
