For Swiss National Visas (D-Visa) and stays longer than 90 days (work or student visas), the Embassy of Switzerland will still be competent for applications until 24th May 2012.
Malaysian citizens (holder of a Malaysian passport) do not require an entry visa for Switzerland.
Maximum stay is 3 months for touristic / business / company training purposes. Your national passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond the planned stay in Switzerland.
Any Malaysian passport holder wanting to stay longer than three (3) months is required to apply for an authorisation from the competent cantonal authorities (Foreign police, Office for Migration). The application for this authorisation can be submitted directly to the cantonal authorities through the employer or the school in Switzerland. Once the authorisation is approved the applicant can enter Switzerland. After arrival she/he has to contact the Foreign Police or the Office for Migration inbetween 7 days for registering and to receive a valid permit (B-Permit, L-Permit).
