Switzerland and Thailand celebrate 80 years of relations

80 years ago, Switzerland and Thailand launched their diplomatic relations with the signature of the 1931 Treaty of Friendship and Commerce between the two countries. This friendship has steadily increased and intensified over the following decades. H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej spent most of his childhood in Switzerland and studied at the Université de Lausanne. To mark this important anniversary, the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand together with Swiss Student Alumni Association are organizing several unique events in Bangkok.

DUE TO THE FLOODING SITUATION OF OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2011 IN BANGKOK, THE EXHIBITION AT SIAM PARAGON (“SIAM NITASRATCHAMONGKOL”) HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO AUGUST 23-25, 2012. PLEASE CONSULT THE PROGRAMME (SEE FOLLOWING LINK).
