The primary role of the trade section is to support Swiss industry through the following services:

• Collection, analysis and dissemination of timely and relevant information about business opportunities in Southern California, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
• Assistance to individual Swiss firms in accessing the US market in general as well as the California market in particular.
• Organization and staffing trade fairs with Swiss participation.
• Development and maintainance of contacts with relevant business, political and media organizations in Southern California and Arizona.
• Promotion of Switzerland as desirable location for California-based companies from which to manufacture and distribute products to the rest of Europe or conduct research and development activities.
• Support of the programs of the Swiss Counselors for Science and Technology in the USA.
• Support of the promotional activities of Switzerland Tourism.
• Supply of information to California and Arizona companies and individuals about doing business in Switzerland including banking, insurance and investments.
