The last two decades have seen a major expansion of the city of Atlanta. Driven by the summer Olympics in 1996 and a booming economy, the peach state and its capital have attracted many companies and investors. Atlanta has therefore become the international metropolis of the South, with a population of 5.6 million and the busiest airport in the country, a central hub and gateway to all major cities in the USA and the world. Atlanta has also become a center for art and culture, knowledge, research and development, preservation of the environment and last but not least for the defence of human rights. With the growth of communities originating from many parts of the world, this city has acquired a cosmopolitan ambiance without losing its southern charm and hospitality.

Our Consulate General represents Switzerland and its interests in the southeastern United States and assists Swiss citizens and customers residing in the eleven states covered in our jurisdiction. We are glad to reinforce and contribute to the expansion of the longstanding and friendly relations between the United States and Switzerland.
